Continuing yesterday's theme of RSS, I have had a baffling situation with one of my RSS feeds. As my main feed, it was doing reasonably well, suddenly it's readership dropped like a stone. The mystery is solved; the feed had just become too large to handle.
So that is something to bear in mind when setting up an RSS feed. If you have long articles, put in a teaser summary first, with the full article on a click through.
Oh, well, you live and learn. I now have to go back and break up the articles. And I was hoping for a more relaxing weekend!
