If you are new to the world of RSS, there are several resources you really should be aware of:

This super website from Robin Good was my starting point last year when I started looking into RSS. Bookmark and keep in your heart.

There is no absolute standard as yet for displaying RSS feeds. By sending yours through Feedburner, they will be displayed according to the RSS reader being used by your subscriber or viewer. You also get some useful stats about your feed.

http://www.pingomatic.com

My next job after publishing this post will be to go to Pingomatic, so that RSS directories, including My Yahoo, will be pinged to tell them of the update. Like Feedburner, I have used Pingomatic from day one, it is an RSS essential at the present time.
